Visitor Information Center and Exhibition: Design
The park visitor center houses a permanent museum with interactive exhibits, artifacts, & dioramas, as well as a bookstore, & an auditorium. The stories of early pioneers, native inhabitants, & the local wildlife are brought to life in this immersive introduction to the natural & historical features found in the park. Photographs of local landscapes & realistic sculpted elements set the scene for the many local artifacts displayed throughout the center & related role-play areas for children. The exhibition takes visitors back through historical eras, highlighting personal stories in a social & cultural context. Outside, groupings of sculptures were placed in the landscape, guiding visitors to the trailheads the park. With Vincent Ciulla
