The View, Season 18 Studio: Design, Production and Install Management
For The View’s 18th season, ABC made significant on-air & behind-the-scenes changes, relocating to a new studio & seeking a fresh look for the show. An intimate in-the-round layout was created incorporating a circular architectural set, new audience risers, & a large central video wall. Color-changing LED graphic lightboxes & LCD displays were integrated into the architecture throughout the studio to allow for different looks to be programmed during each episode. To achieve a comfortable home-like setting for the hosts of the show, they each were consulted on preferences of styles, decor & props. During the installation, a full union crew, fabrication teams, & vendors were supervised to transform an empty "black box" into a daily-use studio, complete with new custom designed audience risers.
