NEW RIVER GORGE NATIONAL PARK
Sandstone Visitor Center and Exhibition: Design
This permanent exhibition in a 9,800 square-foot National Parks Service visitor center showcases the natural & cultural history of the New River watershed in West Virginia. The center was awarded first prize for Excellence in Design by the National Association of Interpretation. Visitors can learn about the history & conservation efforts through artifacts & interactive interpretive exhibits. A map of the watershed is displayed in tile on the floor & freestanding walls mimic the surrounding landscape. A series of graphic cards can be scanned throughout the center to reveal more information about local wildlife & the environmental impact on the watershed. With Vincent Ciulla
