GATHERING PLACE
Park Building Signage: Design, Fabrication Management
The Gathering Place is one of the largest and most ambitious public parks ever created with private funds. The $465 million project opened in 2018 and hopes to transform the city by developing 66 acre on the Arkansas River to offer nature trails, playgrounds, and activities for the residents of Tulsa. The highly sculptural and extroverted designs of the Williams Lodge, and ONEOK Boathouse house various amenities such as casual and fine dining, a functioning dock, event spaces, fireplaces, outdoor terraces, restrooms, and administrative offices. A wayfinding and signage program for front and back of house areas was developed to deliver information to visitors while corresponding to the materiality of the building finishes and creating a coherent user experience.
